All classes: In class - completed close read notes in margin of "Two Kinds." Complete "Analyze the Text" on pg. 26 of textbook which will be homework if not finished in class.
TUESDAY:
All classes: In class - reviewed close read notes and "Analyze the Text." Introduced concept of connotation and denotation. HOMEWORK: Finish Part 2 in connotation/denotation packet if not finished in class.
WEDNESDAY:
All classes: In class - reviewed last night's homework and covered additional connotation/denotation practice.
THURSDAY:
All classes: In class - Connotation/denotation practice. HOMEWORK: Yellow connotation/denotation worksheet. Prep for tomorrow's quiz.

All classes: HOMEWORK: Complete the top part of the Word Study assignment for Monday if not finished in class. (HINT: For connotation, simply write either positive or negative, then for your synonym, try to pick a word with the opposite connotation.)
