READING 7:
We will begin our work with central idea and supporting details in informational texts this week. Students will be working in small groups to complete a series of three different tasks. Because of the shortened week and several special schedules, this week's assignments will carry into next week.
TUESDAY HW (ALL classes):
Finish Study Island benchmark by tonight. (Username is lunch number@ns
(1234@ns) and password is abc123). We'll take a look at your scores
during Wednesday's classes! :)
FRIDAY HW (ALL classes): Rewrite TDA (if you need to) - due Friday. Also finish Study Island benchmark if you have not done so already. Benchmarks will be 1/2 credit at this point.
ENGLISH 9:
We will spend our week continuing to work on our comparative analysis of the diction in Quindlen and Kennedy's texts found on pages 13 and 23 of the textbook respectively. Students are expected to be working on their essays outside of class as well as in class with the guidance of the teacher. Final essays are due at the beginning of class on Friday, October 13 either as a hard copy or in Google Docs.
