April 30-May 4

READING 7:
We continue diving into Wonder this week, with a focus on vocabulary, characterization, and starting our work on the complexity wheel with the "Remember" level. On Thursday and Friday, we will be working on our end-of-year benchmarks on Study Island. Be sure you are keeping up with the reading and comprehension questions. As always, feel free to work ahead, but please don't ruin the book!

MONDAY: Read Pg. 82-96; complete questions #1-12 from Part 2 - Via.
TUESDAY: Read Pg. 97-117; complete questions #13-22 from Part 2 - Via.
WEDNESDAY: No reading homework.
THURSDAY: Read Pg. 119-132; complete questions #1-14 from Part 3 - Summer.
FRIDAY: Read Pg. 134-143; complete questions  #1-5 from Part 4 - Jack.


ENGLISH 9:
Our study of Animal Farm continues his week. In addition to the novel, we will continue our work with propaganda strategies and rhetorical techniques, focusing on non-fiction text and current events.

MONDAY: Prepare for tomorrow's Ch.1-5 quiz.
TUESDAY: Chapter 1-5 quiz (20 points!)
WEDNESDAY: Read Ch. 6. (Reading will be done in class, but please keep up if you are absent!)
THURSDAY: Read Ch. 7 (Pg. 73-89) for Tuesday, May 8.
FRIDAY: Propaganda strategies & rhetorical techniques assessment!
